Bah, fungus gnats

They've invaded my dreams. Every time I turned around, there were more of the little blighters buzzing about yet another pot. (In my dream, that is. I don't see any today.)

I swear, it's almost enough to make me gather up all my indoor plants and sweep them into the dustbin.

The operative word, indeed. I suspect I'll be ordering another canister of Gnatrol before the year is out.

In real life, though, the two gnats I saw two weeks ago are the only gnats I've seen and I haven't seen them since. Die, vile fungus gnats, you and any potential offspring, on which I will wage biological warfare until the end of the month and throughout eternity...

One of the profs- a real sweetie! - had a recent infestation of avian mites. A very serious one, from what I understand. It's a long story involving petrified birds nests and stuff, but she talked about seeing them fly out of her KEYBOARD. So, I'm glad yours was just a dream. Don't do anything too final with those plants.

Dreams can be so irritating. I think fungus gnats must be your version of the dreams I have about ticks.
But I'd never chuck my dogs away.
