First test of the 2012 model. The second run-through took precisely one hour. I tweaked the pattern a bit but won't know whether I like the tweak until I've blocked it. I have a second tweak planned if the first one isn't quite right, and a third right behind that.

beautiful, Laura. I will admit that although I do crochet, little tiny things like this FRUSTRATE me. I can't quite do them.

It's a whole different wrist action and one also has to adapt to the fact that the fine crochet cotton doesn't stretch. I'd say there's a learning curve of about six hours of frustration before it starts to feel natural. If you want to pursue it, I'd suggest finding a pattern where you work most of your stitches in loops rather than in other stitches, a little less fussy.

Lovely. I've been doing these with ply acrylic as I'm just starting out.

"Ply acrylic" -- ??? Size of yarn/thread? I'm using #10 crochet cotton and a Size 7 / 1.65mm hook. If my eyes hold out I may make a couple out of #30 (the larger the number the smaller the size, using a Size 10 / 1mm hook.
