Pollination chronicles
Mar. 21st, 2015 10:42 pmI don't think Gervase wants to be a pod parent. I tried pollinating two blooms on the first scape and got nothing.
Today I tried one bloom on the second scape. I noticed that the ovary was more swollen than those of the other blooms, so I thought that might mean it was at its most receptive. I hit it with a bit of pollen from the Class of 2009.

In other news, the Nopalxochia are starting to show some color.
Less happily, I forgot to water the herbs on the windowsill on the back house. I may have lost the marjoram, have almost certainly lost two rosemary, and the third doesn't look too good.
