Hippeastrum / anterior cruciate ligament
May. 27th, 2009 07:35 amI peered at the hippeastrum seeds this morning, 10 days after sowing, and realized that many of them were riding higher on the sandy substrate than I had recalled. Curious, I pulled one out and saw that it has a shoot -- which, on its way down to become the first root, had also pushed the seed upwards. So germination is in progress.
My knee continues to have odd slidings and grindings and feelings of not-rightness. Since Saturday my back has also been varying stages of uncomfortable, probably the result of an odd gait to favor the misbehaving knee. My doctor called me back yesterday and says that from my description it does sound as though I've in some way damaged my anterior cruciate ligament. He also said that from my description he thinks I'll be able to manage it without surgery. But he wants to see me. I'm waiting for his appointment person to call me back.
Bleah.
