New speakers
Feb. 5th, 2009 03:29 pmOne of the things we did to make our lives easier this year was to sign up for Amazon Prime. For $70/year, we get free two-day shipping on a number of products stocked by Amazon. Since we often buy holiday or birthday gifts at Amazon and have them shipped to family, this pays for itself pretty quickly.
It also makes possible the occasional splurge. Like these little external speakers for my Asus, ridiculously cheap at $11.32 and even better with no additional shipping charge.
It's been bitterly cold today (for Philadelphia): 12F in the courtyard this morning and this afternoon only warming to 16F. I think it's probably in the 20s in places that get sun, but it's also pretty breezy. I need to bundle up and go to the corner store for milk and eggs before it gets dark. This evening I can sit and knit and listen to Little Women through my new speakers. Delicious...
