Behold the (almost) finished tree.


I think it may need more snowflakes

I had forgotten to take the box with this year's snowflakes downstairs, so I need to add a few of those, and possibly tweak the arrangement of some ornaments. But it's largely done. In one day -- go me!

Two checks need to go into the mail, a few presents need to be wrapped, and then I can turn my attention to cleaning and baking. (We did vacuum and dust the floor, baseboards, shelves, etc. around and behind the tree before installation.)

Cleaning here is happening tomorrow..at least getting the guest room ready for our New Year's visitors.

I use liquid starch, almost full strength -- 4 parts starch to 1 part water. I also block them while they're wet to get the shape right. (I have a 12-point template pinned to a corkboard for the purpose.)

P.S. -- Do you have a larger image of that snowflake icon? I think I could interpret it in thread. It would be awfully fussy, though, so I'd only do a couple.
