...and neither was yesterday. The prospect of biking into 20 mph winds does not excite. So we walked a bit and then took the bus to the Wal*Mart.

Wal*Mart on a Saturday afternoon is almost as bad as IKEA. Knots of people and their carts stopped dead in the middle of the aisle so no one can get around them. Bleah. At least I know my way around the place and I don't have to stick to a prescribed route to get to where I want to go.

Still. It's a terrible price to pay for cheap yogurt. And they didn't have any white felt, something I wanted for a project. Well, it can wait until a weekday. Tomorrow is also supposed to be cloudy and windy, but Monday is supposed to be clear. I can ride my bike then.

Walking was easier than it has been for some time. I'm breaking in a new pair of Merrill mocs with some arch support. That's making a difference.

This hasn't been a terrific week, diet-and-exercise wise, but I'm still within acceptable parameters. Just barely. Next week will be better, I hope.

I'd much rather spend an afternoon at an IKEA than at a Walmart. And IKEA has restaurants with Swedish coffee and pastries and good prices. It's a nice treat.

And they have shortcuts! No prescribed route for me.

I hope good biking weather happens soon.

Thanks. Our Wal*Mart has MickeyD's but I wasn't in the mood.
