I barely stayed within my point totals the past two days -- I was ambushed by a sandwich on Wednesday and mugged by a buffet at a conference yesterday. One wrap (two halves of two different kinds); three sandwich halves (different kinds again; some salad and some fruit, and two cookies. The perils of hitting the buffet on an empty stomach. The only thing that saved me was that I felt so terribly full that I skipped dinner in favor of a small bowl of plain Greek yogurt and apple slices.
Post-morteming yesterday's blow-out, I realize that I could have done better by having seconds on salad and fruit. But....sandwiches!
Today I'm going to a luncheon meeting at the Union League. At least it won't be a buffet, and I can confidently expect the portions to be niggardly.
Exercise hasn't been exactly strenuous, either -- about five miles on the bike each of the past two days. It's raining off and on today so I foresee a trip on the bus. Maybe the weather will let me walk home.
Tomorrow I'll be a tour guide at the Union League which means a cold cuts buffet. I will have to visualize myself making do with a few slices of turkey or something -- and eat a good breakfast.
I was early to bed and very early to rise this morning and have put in four solid hours for PACSCL. Two phone calls and I'm done.
