I had to pedal up to Temple University to get a document signed yesterday, and returned via the park to get in some miles.

I came home at lunchtime feeling faint, shaky, and extremely hungry. So I ate something uncharacteristic for me: a huge chicken breast sandwich on a kaiser roll, backed up by a slice of bread and butter.

For the next six hours, I felt as though I had swallowed a softball and all I wanted for dinner was a big bowl of steamed green beans with chicken broth and sriracha, followed by a small dish of yogurt and diced apples.

How about that? If anyone had told me three months ago that I would happily dine on green beans and yogurt I would have said they were mad.

Good on you!

Once I gave up wheat, I discovered that eating wheat makes me feel bloated. Now I crave cookies and such much less, knowing how I'll feel afterward.

Yogurt and sliced apples, eh? Sounds good!

Indeed. But Roy was making himself a sandwich and that poppy-seeded Kaiser roll was sooooooo tempting.
