Worrywarts...
Jun. 20th, 2012 03:22 pmJust because the thermometer reads 98F and the heat index is allegedly 106F is no reason for LJ friends to worry if I go for a bike ride. I wear a helmet, which keeps the sun off my head, and I carry plenty of water.
The most annoying thing was that they're running some kind of mega summer camp down at the park and all the mommies and daddies have parked in the bike lane. There's barely room for a sanitation truck to get between the parked cars on both sides, and the sanitation trucker doesn't much feel like waiting for old lady biker.
I stopped at the Asian grocery on the way home to pick up some produce, and in a little bit I'll venture out again to buy milk and whiskey (which I don't plan to mix). I wish I lived in a state where I could buy both in the same damn store.

Date: 2012-06-21 12:23 pm (UTC)My Martin is the smallest bodied of my three guitars and I'm finding it's much better suited to right-leg playing than the larger ones. I definitely throw a towel over that one when I'm sweaty!
