The grubby arcade leading up to the Big 8 Supermarket is lined with tubs of DVDs of Vietnamese travelogues etc....clothing.....toys..... and

Orchids!

Honest to Pete. And not just a few white phalaenopsis like you might see in your supermarket, either, but cattleyas, dendrobiums, oncidiums, and miltonia. Cultivars in improbable color combinations. And a sight to caution the children and the grannies not to finger the flowers. Real flowers -- do not touch!

Come to think of it... I can't grow orchids, either. I always wind up killing 'em...
