Hippeastrum tagging
Mar. 22nd, 2012 08:31 amI tagged my five keepers from the Class of 2006. I swear I'm going to discard the rest of them, or send them to a home where the fact that they probably have the mosaic virus won't matter. I tagged the five thusly:
In the keepers planter:
One piece of yarn = the small intensely colored bulb with two scapes
Multiple pieces of yarn = the one with four blooms on its scape
In the discards planter:
One piece of yarn = the one whose coloration I liked, and whom I pollinated with 'papilio' pollen. (this appears to have taken, too; at least, the ovaries seem to be swelling today)
Three pieces of yarn = one with three flowers on the scape
Four pieces of yarn = one with four flowers on the scape
