I hope Karen sees this too -- if we do 2011, I would very much like to have all visitors at the same time. Happy as I was to see everyone, I found the rolling houseparty and the tour guiding strained my capacity to coordinate things.
Of course, everyone will know the lay of the land by then and can perhaps organize some independent trips to the Reading Terminal to find provisions for dinner while I deal with my Day Job. Also...the liquor control board has found that the Flower Show is a lucrative source of revenue and set up a Wine & Spirits Shoppe in the great hall (old Reading train shed) with wines themed to the show. So the whole deal can be pretty much a one-stop shop.
Absolutely. And frankly, the fact that you would be willing to host The Menobabes again, I find slightly amazing. Not that we're awful guests, just that it's a huge stressor in a week of stress.
I had a great time doing the bluefish shopping at the Reading Terminal. It made me feel a little like a resident.
If next year's Guthrie schedule doesn't afford me more than a "drive-by" visit, I probably wouldn't come. I hated having to leave in the wee hours knowing that the rest of the Menobroads were going to have Big Flower Show fun without me.
