Mr Darcy, Vampyr

No, this is *not* about my undead German Shepherd, whose ashes are safely contained in a carved wooden box in a drawer in our etagere.
This is about a book I saw at the Rosenbach, when I stopped off to get some signatures from my board chair (who is the Director of the Rosenbach). I hadn't fully been tracking this phenomenon, but apparently there are a whole lot of Jane Austen / horror mashups. Who knew? Mr. Darcy, Vampyr, is offered in the Rosenback gift shop, probably because the Rosenbach has a whole heap of Bram Stoker's notes. In fact, Bram Stoker's great great nephew, or some such, will be reading from his Dracula sequel there tonight as part of their annual "Release the Bats!" festival. This comes directly on the heels of the Where the Wild Things Are movie opening -- they sure are busy right now.
