Much has been made of the person who attended an Arizona Obama rally carrying an assault weapon. MSNBC had extensive video coverage of the weapon, with lots of hand-wringing about how some white racist was going to be encouraged to shoot the black president, but nothing that showed the whole man. I wonder why?

Maybe because he didn't fit the narrative? Well, there's a picture on this page:

http://www.azcentral.com/community/phoenix/articles/2009/08/17/20090817obama-scene.html

And here's the picture:

Uh-oh. Well, maybe he was some kind of double-secret provocateur. Or maybe the picture is faked. Or maybe he's making a simple and straightforward Second Amendment statement.

(Lost the breadcrumb trail so I can't offer a h/t.)

oops. to risk sounding like a pomo for a moment, the media is losing control of their constructed narrative about as badly as the administration is. :)

I can't even figure out what that talk show host's agenda is. Not that I spent a lot of time on it. But apparently the gunbearer was some kind of [paid?] double-secret provocateur.
