Heat wave, continued continued

When I left for my ride of errands it was 98. When I got back it was 104. Our local Weather Underground station, Broad & Washington, consistently reports temps four or five degrees higher than the airport temps, something I attribute to the heat island effect. But it certainly felt hot enough to fry an egg on the top of my bike helmet.
