Most of these were taken at Washington Avenue Green, a narrow strip partly reclaimed from industrial use along the Delaware River, next to the Coast Guard station and behind the parking lot for the metalworkers' union headquarters. The garden designers have put a few beds in along with the concrete, and planted with a variety of native plants. The asters and late coneflowers are punctuated by the occasional goldenrod, and the migrating monarchs loved it:
