Hippeastrum outdoors and a bike ride

My run down to the treasurer's office to drop off the PACSCL books morphed into a trip to the Wal*Mart, with an extra mile because I was woolgathering and missed my turn. Call it ten miles, total. Go me!
I bought myself some treats -- a pair of flip-flops, which the spaces between big and second toes Do Not Like; a pair of black ballerina-style flats of some man-made substance that looks remarkably like leather; a new little black canvas bag of the identical style to the one that was starting to get sun-faded; a wee small backpack, also black, which can be used on photographic expeditions, leaving me with my hands free with greater comfort than a shoulder bag slung crosswise across the chest. Some vitamins. And a couple dozen hose washers so we'll never run out again.
All the photos from last weekend have been culled, edited, and uploaded to Flickr. I have a couple odds and ends from last week to do.
Today I set out some hippeastrum in a shady place out back. Just before I left for the treasurer's, I set out the Class of 2009. Tonight I staked and set out three of the big ones -- an Appleblossom, the Exotica, and the Gervase. By the time I bring them in the labels may have faded or I may have forgotten, so I need to write it down:
Appleblossom -- terra-cotta colored plastic pot
Exotica -- black plastic pot, one offset
Gervase -- black plastic post, no offsets
Roy is out to dinner with a railroad friend, so I fried me a burger and now am settling down to see what other photos need to be processed. It's supposed to be very warm and very nice this weekend, and I see Big Photo Fun in my future.
