After the Flower Show...

lblanchardSo that I'm not totally jonesing, these plants have obligingly burst into bloom for me. The Nopalxochia is just hitting its stride; the first flower is fully open and another isn't too far behind. irismoonlight plant offers the more spectacular bloom. It may be a different cultivar; I'm not up on the ins and outs of that.
And the first stalk of Hippeastrum 'exotica' is in its full glory, with another behind that, plus two stalks from 'gervase' on the way. I think it's possible that the 'gervase' may pop open this week.
You know what I really like about this picture? I took it while seated in my office chair. Whenever I need a little pick-me-up, I just slide my eyes over to the left a smidge...
