MORNING
- Cleaned off the counter of the upstairs kitchen and mopped with bleach
Starched the last snowflakes and the ecru doily - Potted up several rooted cuttings
- Also potted up five pieces of Schlumbergera truncata 'gold charm' that Roy knocked off the parent plant while opening the window to air out the cremated giblet smell Thanksgiving morning
- Did a little more online research on Union League presidents for my 12/14 talk
- Located and printed off the image of the dichroic glass necklace I bought in 2001 -- I had taken if off Friday night and when I picked it up it fell apart. All on the table, thank goodness. So I'll take it to the bead store to have it restrung.
- Made a short list of things to buy when I go shopping today.
AFTERNOON
- Started a load of wash
- Had a late breakfast
- Took Roy up on his invitation to meet him for lunch in Chinatown
- Found the Shanghai Bazaar and bought David's Christmas present -- three volumes of folk tales in translation, featuring, Monkey, Piggsey, and the Priest
- Did not find clear toy candy -- the merchant says their shipper claimed he shipped it but it hasn't come in yet
- Fail at the bead store -- they're not open on Sundays
- Watched a group of acrobats/jugglers practicing some interesting routines on the lawn at Rittenhouse Square
- Got some great pictures from the bus....in Chinatown...in Rittenhouse Square
- Put the absolute last of the Thanksgiving stuff away
- Found a place for Roy to stash his darkroom stuff in the basement
- Made approving noises as Roy evolved a strategy for darkening the entire basement when he needs to play darkroom
- Researched Epson printers and found that Roy wants the V700, not the 700
I don't think I'll do anything more demanding than watching movies and knitting tonight.
