Hemerocallis madness
Jan. 18th, 2015 11:22 amRummaging through the fridge, I discovered that I'd collected some daylily seeds in 2013 and 2014. The 2013 batch is labeled "bright yellow rebloomer, August 2013." I suspect I collected them on the grounds of the Philadelphia Museum of Art. The 2014 is more precise date and timewise, but I have no idea what the blooms look like: "Ruby Tuesdays, Winchester, VA, July 22, 2014." (Ruby Tuesdays is the only restaurant within walking distance of the Hampton Inn we stayed in.)
I'm not so sure about the viability of those 2013 seeds, so I will soak them until I see signs of germination. I have higher hopes for Ruby Tuesday.
I also have no place to plant these little guys, except in big planters out front. Well....I have a big planter with nothing going on in it, and I won't need to plant them out for considerable time.
