Dec. 11th, 2011 09:35 amThe wretched things *still* puffed up too much and broke through the crust that keeps the designs from blurring. For the next crop I try a thinner cookie, a slower oven, and....after that...a different recipe. Later today I'll drag the Nikon upstairs so that I can document my humiliation.
But I *will* achieve springerle this season, or suffer a sugar coma trying.
(EDITED TO ADD: Rolled out the second half of this batch of dough, somewhat thinner this time, I think. I'll bake them at a lower temp, too.)
