Lobelia cardinalis

We are enjoying a fall preview here in Philly -- temps got down to the high 40s / low 50s last night and it's not supposed to get out of the 60s today. An afternoon bike ride will be called for.

I wanted to remember that I biked through the wee Washington Avenue Green park yesterday and was pleased to see that there are still a few flowers remaining on the Lobelia cardinalis.

The shawl for my sister is now 9" long.

I got a lot of useful billable work done early this morning and am now contemplating an afternoon bike ride. Leisurely but with a few small hills and one challenging climb out of the Schuylkill River Valley.

Scratch that. I'm reading bits of Beowulf instead.
