Down the Lakes, Round the Lakes
Jul. 18th, 2010 09:09 pm
Down the Lakes and back = 5.4 miles
Round the Lakes 1x = 1.75 miles
Thus Down the Lakes plus Round the Lakes...
1x = 7.15
2x = 8.9
3x = 10.8
4x = 12.4
5x = 14.15
6x = 15.9
7x = 17.65
8x = 19.4
Yesterday and today I went round five times each day and have been pretty pooped when I got back, possibly because I did it in late morning and it was close to noon on the mean and very hot streets of South Philly when I did the back leg of "Down the Lakes." But I did it.
A neighbor of mine got off the #17 bus mildly distraught yesterday. She was coming up from deepest South Philly and New Black Panther Guy got on the bus, fully accoutered for a day of paramilitary something, complete with black jackboots and nightstick. So nice to know he lives on the #17 bus route -- a celebrity in the neighborhood. *Groan*
If I go to bed earlier tonight I might have a chance at getting up and out the door earlier for my bike ride tomorrow, while it's still [comparatively] cool.
I can't imagine mindlessly pedaling around the Lakes more than 8 times. The mind rebels.
