The RBMS preconference is now history and I am tired. Not that I did that terribly much to make it happen -- but I don't usually spend that much time out and on my feet. One of the drawbacks of working at home, I guess: a full week of being elsewhere every day AND every evening is incredibly draining.
So today I am....contemplating all those pictures that I took and planning which ones will be edited and uploaded to Flickr.
I can't imagine what it must be like to go directly to the RBMS preconference to the ALA conference in DC, which starts today or tomorrow.
(Acronym expansion: RBMS is the Rare Book and Manuscript Section of the Association of College and Research Libraries, itself a division of the American Library Association. ALA is the American library association. I dream of Philadelphia some day hosting the full ALA meeting, but to date we don't have enough hotel rooms to accommodate the hordes that descend on the conference city.)
