Meadowbrook Farms handed out free mixed lettuce seeds at the Flower Show, and on a whim I surrounded a pansy with some of the seeds in a 20" square planter.

Yesterday I was able to harvest enough thinnings for us to have them on our cheeseburgers. Go me!

My back yard is smaller than my living room

There's a thought to give one pause. My living room is 14' x 24' (336 sq ft); my back yard is 16' x 17' (272 sq ft). Just in case anyone has wondered why I whine about the lack of growing space.
