Training for the Flower Show
Feb. 23rd, 2010 08:59 amYesterday was Roy's birthday, so we had dinner out. Midway through the second glass of wine I knew that I'd had enough, and I couldn't finish dinner either. I guess my stomach really is shrinking.
Today I have a mild food-and-drink hangover and have given myself permission for a slow start, but I did get up at 5:30 so as not to upset the rhythm I've started. I woke up with an odd "I'm going to clench on you" feeling in a muscle in the center back, higher than I usually have back things, but it subsided without clenching. I don't like this...
It's rainy here today. There is virtually no snow left on the rooftops that I can see from my office window.
I believe my Flower Show volunteer button will allow me to get in for setup, so I think I'll spend my lunch hour (or something like it) on the show floor.
UPS robocalled me today to say they would be delivering a package that requires a signature "some time between 8 am and 7 pm." I am hoping they come at their usual time, which is between 11 and 1, so that I can leave for the show floor with a clear conscience.
