Training for the Flower Show
Feb. 17th, 2010 01:16 pmI slept through the entire night. Eight hours without getting up. I don't remember the last time I did that. I feel really odd today -- I believe the feeling is called "being rested."
Up at 6:00 -- jolted, actually, by the rather nasty sound of the radio station I settled on more or less at random last night. Dressed, groomed, and partially caffeinated by 6:20, when I settled in to read the paper. I don't have anywhere to go at 6:20 right now, and would not be likely to take a morning walk in the dark on icy sidewalks.
One of the bathroom Schlumbergera and one of the dining room Schlumbergera have well-developed bonus buds that may actually come in to bloom before the last of the bathroom Schlumbergera give up. The first of the Nopalxochia buds is starting to look less sprout-like and more bud-like. It's entirely possible that I will have continuous blooming of something or other through April, given the leisurely pace at which the adolescent hippeastrum send up their stalks.
