...and this is a sad commentary on the state of the citizenry of Philadelphia. When the Phillies won the series last year, our fine upstanding citizens stole or otherwise ruined anything that wasn't nailed down. They also broke shop windows and looted. So this year the city is doing a pre-emptive strike 48 hours in advance. They're taking down the banners, asking property owners to remove anything that the yahoos could stand on, break, or throw through plate glass windows, and putting on extra police.
