Around the homestead
Jun. 12th, 2009 09:47 amHippeastrum seedling count du jour: I think it's 30.
Our urban mockingbird has some interesting things in his repertoire. In addition to mimicking the local cardinal and seagulls, he does a kickass rendition of a car alarm -- you know, the kind of "mockingbird" car alarm that itself has a repertoire of four or five sounds.
Finally, I can't seem to pour enough caffeine in me to overcome my fatigue this morning. Either I overdid it with a 14 hour day yesterday or I'm coming down with something, possibly both. Luckily I'm homebound waiting for a delivery. (EDIT: two cups of lukewarm coffee later I'm beginning to believe there may be hope for me after all.)
