The Flower Show is open

For all practical purposes, that is. The Member Preview was this afternoon and our local ABC affiliate did a one-hour live broadcast from the show floor during the gala preview dinner.

So I'm taking the "privacy" filter off all my Flower Show photos now . This is the last in my Flower Show set. I think there are about 100 photos altogether.

Oh, that was fun: I just watched the set in slide show mode.

It doesn't seem quite as flashy as New Orleans was last year, but splendid, anyhow. And I'm sitting here remembering the fragrance.

Most of these are setup shots. There were hordes of members at the preview so I didn't photograph much. When I get on the show floor Monday morning (a day that I don't have a tour), I should start to have showier stuff.

But I must tell you that Roy said the same thing -- that this year's show isn't as lush. Jeez, last year was New Orleans, for cripesakes, and that's about as lush as it gets.
