Sticker shock isn't going to be that terrible. We'll go for a bottom-of-the-line box, just like the bottom-of-the-line box we'll be replacing. I priced them online at Best Buy -- with tax etc, it will be around $500. It's just that there are so many nicer things to do with $500.
