The Terrible Tooth
Now that the hip trouble subsided, I decided not to take any ibuprofen at bedtime and discovered that, ouchie ouchie, I appear to have an infected back molar. The wretched thing woke me up at 4:00 this morning; and, probing around with a cautious finger, I discovered an extremely swollen and tender gum. I think the side of my face is a little swollen, too. The ibuprofen are kicking in now and it has receded to bearable.
So a call to the dentist is in order first thing in the morning. Wait, this is first thing in the morning, at 5:30 a.m. Well, I mean promptly at 9:00. I'm hoping he can patch me up with antibiotics to keep the wretched thing under control until the kids have left.
And I have late afternoon / evening meetings today and tomorrow. Damnation.
