Our "new" bathroom

I don't care for the disruption caused by any kind of home repair, so I try to put it off as long as possible.

It has been three or four years since the plumbing under our master bathroom floor rusted shut, leaving the sink unusable. I dealt with this by putting a Schlumberger truncata in the sink to remind us and any visitors not to use the sink -- which no longer was connected to any drain pipe -- and using a basin in the tub for any hand-washing necessary. Meanwhile, Roy and I went back and forth about whether we wanted to just fix the plumbing and the floor, do that plus replace some fixtures, or knock out some walls and make a bathroom somewhat larger than 7' x 5'.

Our hand was forced last week when the toilet stopped accepting solids.

Wendigo

Linda Cohen taught me her interpretation of this song as played by Doc Watson -- but that was years ago, she is dead, and I cannot find the tapes nor the notes for this. I hope I can create an approximation by listening to this repeatedly.
